Villas is a dense unincorporated community just southwest of downtown Fort Myers along US-41, developed mostly in the 1950s through 1970s with small single-family homes and some apartment complexes. It's one of the more urban neighborhoods in Lee County outside of Fort Myers proper, and it has a lot of long-term residents as well as rental properties. The older housing stock and compact lot sizes are typical of early postwar Florida suburban development.
